Borlases

Today was my interview to get into Borlase's sixth form. I think it went quite well, though it was very strange. I walked there with my step-dad and step-sister, it was uncomfortable from the moment we were signed in. I was put into a group of people who had similar A Level choices to me; Biology, Chemistry, Maths, English. So stereotypically they were the less confident, quieter, academic people. However they all seemed really nice and by the end of the day, everyone felt comfortable. First they gave us a tour round the school and let us speak to the subject leaders. Then we had our group interview. The first thing I saw when I walked into the interview room, was a huge cream dog lying across the floor in front of the seats. I have to admit, this threw me a little. The interview itself went well, as did my individual interview. I am slightly concerned by what Dr Holding, the head master said; only 1 out of 3 applicants will get a place for September. My chances therefore, are not great. However the day as a whole was a success for me because it has reassured me that if I get in, it will be fine and I will meet people.

On Monday I started the "soup and smoothie" diet. I did this mainly because Bee has been doing it for about 3 weeks now and she looks great. I really want to loose some weight for summer. I say that every year but this is the first year I am actually doing something about it. For example, I now go to the gym 2-3 times a week, and am trying out kinds of diets and healthy eating. I realize I made a mistake with my dairy free diet, of being too strict. This meant that when I stopped it I went insane, and put all the weight I had lost, back on. So for this 'soup and smoothie' diet, I will be slightly lenient.

I have just noticed that my last post was me worrying about my exam results, so I am happy to say that I received 3 A*s last Thursday, which is a huge relief.
